I'm sorry about this. Mono 0.17 is our first release where we shipped RPMs for for Red Hat 8.0 on Red Carpet and I forgot to push the libgc packages when I pushed the Mono packages (the other channels got libgc from the 0.16 release). Libgc packages should now be available to Red Hat 8.0 users.
