I tried this patch, but I can't seem to get it to work.
(Note that I'm running mono 0.17, not the latest CVS, so maybe that is my problem?)

And line 158 os Task.cs is:
   foreach (ValidatorAttribute validator in validators) {

Oops - I'm woorking on current cvs snapshot ant NAnt works fine.
Try attatched patch - or change line above to

foreach (Attribute validator in validators)

and recompile NAnt.

Yes, that solves it, however now I'm getting some other errors (in System.Xml, but that might be because I'm not up to date to the latest class library yet):
