* cmd_list.cc: move the code to query registered workspaces
* datbase.hh/cc: ...here; also introduce a small helper class for all the
database path related functionality; improve the code to validate
incoming database aliases using the standard path component machinery;
be more explicit when failing on the get_default_database_locations
hook
* lua_hooks.cc: ... i.e. do not check for the empty path vector here
* work.cc: use the above helper class to make the code easier readable and
more robust which checks if the database has been changed for a
particular workspace
