Interesting, but the article only mentioning running the virtual machine on
a Mac, and from what I understand the VM must be running in Mac OS as well. 

So basically Apple now allows running Mac OSX in a virtual machine on Mac
OSX. Yay.

VMWare 8 does not even allow trying to install Lion, and must be "jailboken"
first. So, if I misunderstood something here and Apple has lifted their
restrictions, that has nevertheless not been translated into the latest
version of VMWare, which was released long time after the Engadget article
was written.
