Killer cheerleaders and furious waitresses face off in grudge match
Tucson, AZ, August 2004 - Tucson Roller Derby's Furious Truckstop Waitresses bout against Arizona Roller Derby's Smash Squad from Phoenix this Saturday, August 21 at Bladeworld. Expect the action to be fast and heavy in the second game between these teams as each applies lessons learned from their previous battle in May when the Smash Squad beat the FTW by a mere five hard-won points.
In between the three skating periods is live music by the inimitable Al Foul and outlaw DJ Hot Rod Ron will be on duty all night. All your favorite Rollergirls will be available to explain the game to fans, show off bruises and sell tickets for several excellent raffle items.
To make your experience even more enjoyable this time there's a special entrance for pre-sale tickets, a second beer garden, air conditioners on max and drinks are allowed on the floor - as long as you promise to be careful!
TRD has official events scheduled every month through October and is planning for a busy Season Two starting in February.
