I have one on my M-17.  Very old.  It was on in the Gulf/Mexico for several
years before I bought it (5-6 years ago) and brought it the Atlanta.

Methinks it would put the stern down too much, unless you'te talking of a
gallon or two ar best.

My M-17 has a pretty thich stern...dunno about m-15 <sigh>
