And you're right..even going to 10V isn't too good an idea. 50% is a good figure, or maybe 11VDC. I've only seen one completely flat battery, and that was last week on daughter's car..) volts. Most of the batteries we get in exchange at W-M read somewhere in the 8-9V range.
