One thing I noticed on my "maiden" voyages over the weekend was that, on my 20-year old M15, the clam cleats that hold the Jib sheets were apparently worn out -- that is, they would not hold the sheets and I kept having to re-adjust, or in rough wind, even have a crew member hold the sheets in place by hand.
I'm thinking that if I'm going to replace these cleats, maybe I should replace them with cam cleats instead of the clams that are there now -- my experience is that cams tend to hold more decisively, with no slipping.
