Steve, Turks head knots are the sort of things you do on a rainy day; at anchor; or tied to the dock; or when the wind is blowing like stink and you decide staying in the marina is better than being OUT THERE!
.......or you are becalmed ......or the Admirable is asleep and you want to do something, but something where you won't disturb her. Turks head knots are not very high on the "Must Do" list, but they are fun to learn to make.
