There's no question that a boom vang is very useful--I would say essential--for good mainsail trim on an M15. The Dwyer kit you link to looks a lot like the one I use. I'm not totally happy with it because I don't think it has suffienct mechanical advantage under some conditions. But it works most of the time. By all means add it or something like it... t
