I don't think Kern gave me a name or manufacturer of the materia.

Dabbler has nice looking sails, and they sure keep plugging tanbark.

Do you remember the name of the cloth, Bill? Contender makes cream and
tanbark and Doyle claims Contender is
an "outstanding" cloth. I wrote to Contender and received a few samples to
find out whether I liked the
color. I know there is a cloth out there called "Oceanus" that I think is
marketed for big boats, so may be
available only in heavy weights (?). Dabbler Sails might render an opinion:

When I first talked to Kern about my sails in 1999, he said he wasn't able
to get quality tanbark at a reasonable price. But by the time I placed the
order, he had a line on some from Europe, the Netherlands or Denmark, I
think. The premium was only about 10% over white, so I went for it.

Tod, great pictures! That storm looked like it meant business. Like the
tqanbark sails and would like to have one for my ComPac SunCat, but was
told by Airforce sails (Sailnet) that they could not get quality
tanbark fabric. Anyone with a sailmaker and/or fabric source?
