I've mentioned this in the past, but since we're on the subject of Honda 2s, the air vent will clog up sometimes too (especially if you keep your boat in the water for extended periods with motor attached), resulting in the engine starving out for lack of fuel. I've gotten into the habit of taking my cap apart mid-season and cleaning the airway of spider webs and dust and gunk.
