Doug,
I experienced that challenge on my Thanksgiving trip. Not only was
position a challenge, but so was adequate lighting. I had purchased a
nice Coleman flourescent lamp which I thought was going to do the job.
NOT. I rolled up the sleeping bag, placed it up near the forepeak of
the V-berth, proped my feet up near the companionway hatch, and with
the lamp on and a large flash light aimed at my reading material, I was
able to be comfortable and see the book. If you are taller than my 5'5
though it may not work too well.
