yes! its would seem like a quick way to get to the hull for painting, waxing or repairs centerboard without the wide straps being in the way.
Last time the straps left a sad mark on the upper hull that now needs to be gel coat repaired. One of those quick hoist that they use for engines blocks would be great way to do it.
