I've never, EVER, heard of or read about gelcoat blistering on a Montgomery, and I relayed this to Wayne Preisman via an offlist response . . . I probably don't want to read about it if it's happened, but has anyone heard of a Monty with a blistering problem?

If its just 2 sailing the 15 is a good choice but if you want 4 people for a daysail you will want the 17. The cockpit on the 17 is outstanding and very comfortable and the cabin will provide sitting headroom for 2. Both are great sailing boats, I'm partial to the 17 but if you're leaving her in the water it might be the better option. Good luck with your search, you will definitely enjoy either one.
