Thanks for the data on the Honda 2hp. Do think LockTite (medium) could be used for securing those kind of bolts in those critical applications? If it's simple, I can do it in my shop. ---Larry --- hull # 189

This was about a year and a half ago and paid I believe about 750.00 (+ Tax) new. I did however also get the first check-up for free (75.00 value?). When I looked around for used I found a few but the cost was around 500.00. Not worth the savings since I felt the warranty could be handy. (never has been-yet) Incidently there are two versions. One without a clutch (prop turns when motor is running) and the other has a centrifical clutch which engages the prop a little above idle. I think opinions will tell you the one with the centrifical clutch is the one to buy. It's a little difficult to get used to but, sure works good at the dock and for turning the motor around to make reverse. I've heard of one person who lost his motor when the two collar bolts, under the power head, vibrated and backed off. Word to the wise to check those on each outing. Mine never loosened. But, that's what a check is for... building confidence.
