So far no problem with my GMC Sierra 4.3L 2WD manual tranny although one very steep ramp in Lion's Head, Ontario made me wonder for a moment (and the tires spin a bit).
Haven't tried w/ my '92 Chevy S10 2.6L 2WD manual tranny but it is only rated for towing 2000# and had somewhere around 200,000 miles when I got my 17.
