The fittings at the end of the boom are used for the mainsail outhaul
and the fairlead is for the reef line attachment point. I don't know what the
cleat is for but you said you knew. Maybe for a topping lift.

Maybe I don't know what the cleat is for. I had assumed that it was for the mainsail outhaul. I'm going sailing again with the previous owner soon, so perhaps he can clue me in.
