Hi Paul, If your two children aren't Sumo wrestlers, but are in the normal child weight range, your application for an M15 sounds fine to me.
Solo sailing is obviously a "10" Saturday afternoon with wife and two children (in reasonable sailing weather) is at least an "8" Weeknight two hour cocktail cruise with another couple (in reasonable sailing weather) is at least another "8". The ranking assumes: You are a good sailor, and have the sense not to go out when it's blowing 25 or more knots. Put the cooler with the drinks in the cabin to balance the boat trim. I've sailed my M15 with adult daughter and her two teen age sons, and we had a ball!
