I spent a little time in Mass with another industry. We were headquartered
out of Bridgeport, PA. Some of my first assignments were Alston, Framingham (I
remember the Sheridan Tara Hotel), Somerville (I think), Hyde Park and a place
north of Logan that was absolutely beautiful... Island something or something
Island. Can't recall, that was 20+ years ago.
I guess if you were to take a few months you wouldn't be able to put a dent
in the available sailing places. East coast differs greatly from the Left
Coast. Coastal cruising here is best done in a 30' plus deep keel or full keel
craft. It's all open ocean. However... Hawaii is just 20 some odd days away from
San Francisco. Just a pipe dream!
Thanks for the recount of your trip. Like I said, I needed that. BTW, not
rolling in the dough, but saving it up so I don't have to work when the rains
come. I'll let the young guys with families fight over the 20 to 30 hours a week
while I'm in warmer climes, spending the money I'm making now. Here it is
almost 11PM. I got in 14 hours today. I'll start tomorrow at 7:30 and go home when
they say I'm done. I love Saturdays... It's all Overtime pay!
And for those who care... Today was a copy of yesterday, only warmer.
Beautiful clear day with lots of too rich people on their sailboats out cruising in
SF Bay. Very pretty. Very San Francisco Post Card Like. An I was working like
a dog. Now that's almost cruel.
