Apropos - having the most fun.............
We were in a Marina in Essex, NY on Lake Chaplain on a small, just fitting for an M15, finger pier. Moored along the seawall was about a 50' sailboat, whose bow pulpit was close to our boat.
The owner of the "big" boat watched us wistfully, as we went sailing, with the 2 HP Honda backing us out and taking us to the harbor entrance. Then it was up with the sails and away we went..................
Coming back we sailed into our slip.
He couldn't do anything without his crew; and no crew - no sailing!
One day we were chatting, he on his bow pulpit, we lounging in the cockpit. He wanted to know what kind of a boat it was (he could have hung the M15 on his davits as a dinghy!), and when I told him and invited him aboard, his eyes lit up.
Where can I buy one he asked? He wanted to keep it at his house on a lake north of Montreal (he was from Montreal), so that when he came home from work during the week in summer he could jump into the M15 and go for an evening sail.
Small is beautiful.............!
