I've replaced and/or cleaned up all nuts, bolts and screws over the past three weeks; cleaned and refinished all teak; repaired cracked glass under anchor roller and buffed entire hull. The 24 year old looks good as new.
I thought I was done with the refurbish, but I inspected the center board and opening on the bottom of the keel while still on the trailer. The pin holding the centerboard in the keel is showing rust signs through the paint. The glass around the inside opening of the keel seems to have disappeared up to an inch high from the bottom of the opening up towards the cabin floor. This could be from the keel swinging around while trailering. Has anyone run across this? If yes, how did you handle it? I'm going to replace the rope attached to the centerboard when I replace the centerboard pin.
