I just formed a company that is going to build a Horizon Cat with electric propulsion as a prototype. I went & checked out the fuel cell company, looks interesting, they make a neat wind generator as well. I made a potential dealer inquiry; so, I should be getting a load of information from them. I'm not sure that a fuel cell is right for my current project, but it won't be long. I expect that we'll be using the Ray Electric Outboard on the cat. If this works out, we'll be doing a CP 23, Sun Cat & Eclipse as well. We also want to do both an M15 & 17, but that will likely be next year (if these things can be sold). We haven't told Montgomery this yet, but I guess we just did!
Solomon technologies makes an interesting electric motor suitable for larger craft, but it's not cheap, about 16K retail.
