Norm, I would think a stern pulpit would be a very doable item, the biggest obstacle being the mounting of the rear two stanchions. Some thought would need to go into where to place them so you could actually install the feet.
It might be worthwhile to make a practice run with some cheap conduit to get the measurements right before jumping in with the stainless tubing. I actually removed the stern pulpit on my 17 because, in part, it made access to the outboard a bit bothersome.
