Tom, Jane, Sailrite.com has "Stainless Steel Welded Slug Slides" on page 32 of their catalog. They have a loop welded onto them, so you wouldn't need to add an eyestrap with machine screws. The "Sail Track Stops" on page 34 look like a good way to hold the slug in place.
