Sorry didn't get to this sooner. My bimini is 3-bow, which is nice
because then you have a mid bow to hang wet towels, etc. on to dry out
of the rain if you happen to be in a place like the San Juan Islands,
like several of us just were.
My bimini isn't pretty, but it makes a good sun shade. It was adapted
from a power boat flop top, and it also serves as a mast carrier when
trailering.

I sail with a bimini on my M15; it helps a lot on a hot summer day. If
I had a 17, I'd put one on it too.
