I thought I'd pass along my "hard knocks" experience (in a small way) w/
regards to masthead light/foredeck floodlight:

I mounted a Forespar combo light on the front of the mast but could have had
better results had I done it slightly differently:

It is mounted about midway between the spreaders and the masthead and on
occasion the main halyard will, when slack, swing around the mast in the
area between the spreaders and masthead and neatly hook itself over the
light. Had I mounted the light a bit lower, just above the spreaders, I'm
sure this would have at least minimized the problem.

I'm thinking I'll try some light fishing line across the section to block
the open area, but I'm not convinced that will be a very good solution.

It's not a major problem, but still, it would be nice if I had managed to
avoid it.

Has anyone priced replacement cushions including covers for a galley model
17 lately?

Thanks,

Tod
