That was jim Johnson (middle-aged and balding). He had a beautiful Bristol
50 footer center cockpit. Man, now that was a freaking RV with sails.

Thanks for the tale!  96* in the shade: ugh.  I don't know how you do it!

I know what you mean about singlehanded navigating/sailing when the boat is
bouncing all around.  Keeps ya busier than a one-armed paperhanger.

My first longer beat in Busca in windier conditions sure left me sore the
next day too, but since then they don't bother me as much.  It seems to be
mostly a matter of getting used to the motion and relaxing rather than
tensing and bracing.

How's come it's always a middle-aged balding man like myself greeting me?
