Are you new to Southern Oregon? From Roseburg down (Jerry M's hometown),
all of the natives know that the "rary" is really Blitz Weinhard. The
saying used to be, "Blitz, it's the ____z".

Pardon the intrusion, but allow me to assist... It's difficult to explain,
however if you've ever watched any of the Redneck Comedy shows, (Jeff
Foxworthy,
Bill Engvall, Ron White, etc) you'll appreciate and possibly even
understand
the "other" english language used in some parts of the country. Then
there's
Ebonics or is it Ebonix - sorry to say, I'm not to versed so I can't help
much
there, but I believe a "tip" is different than most of us may be familiar
with. Same may be true for the "a" and the "rary". So, you see, it's not
definable
as one may believe. It's more in the eyes of the beholder. Here in Oregon
a
"rary" is a slang term for "Hamms Beer" a rare and old style of brew. Like
Lone
Star or Klb or ohers. Therefor, it's easier to see where the "Tip a rary"
comes from... So, to cap it off (so to speak) my interpritation of Larry's
statement is he thinks I'm in need of a beer (true - I was promised one
and never
got the chance to drink it) so, thanks to Larry for the concern and thanks
to
Connie for making it possible to explain to the others who've not been to
the
N.W.
