Ron, Our 1988 M15 had an adjustable motor mount similar to the one offered on the new Monty's. I believe the new mount is made by Garhauer. We've retrofitted our 1988 M17 with the Garhauer mount. It is an excellent adjustable motor mount, very sturdy, with a strong spring counter balance that adequately offsets the weight of a small outboard. The latching-lever handle is convenient for helping to raise and lower the outboard. On both boats we used a long-shaft Yamaha and found that even with the motor in the lowest position, the motor had a tendency to cavitate when going forward, or in heavy chop.
