Hi All, I think it's about time I share with all of you the reason I'm not sailing a new M15. Bob Eeg and I spoke about it a couple of times and I was quite close to sending him a deposit and then decided I'd wait.:
Some time ago I was in an accident which produced four necessary shoulder surgeries... Then came arthritis and it prohibits certain movements. My neck is the most limiting factor. I cannot look up for any reasonable amount of time without suffering greatly for it later. There are other limitations as well, but the neck is the worse. I have just been given (VA Hospital) the self administered injection therapy of ENBREL. The process started last Friday and I may see some relief with the next few months. I have always had frustration when I own something and cannot use it. And, for me I have found it is actually worse than wanting something and not getting it. So, with that in mind I have put off the purchase of the new M15. I've been collecting some "jewelery" for the construction and intend to have this boat made in a unique fashion (you'll have to wait and see). I do still have several ways to get on the water. I am a water rat (you know what that means) and cannot stay away from the fun I always have on the water, no matter the method. Just to let you all know: I am doing wonderful... it's just that I cannot use a sailboat at the moment and it may be some time before I am able to. So, that's why I have not been giving updates on ordering progress. Anyone who has been in the military (or still is) will know what I mean by "Hurry up and wait". No comments are needed.
