Briant, Just a thought. If the verticle wrinkles are in the forward half of the sail and greater towards the luff you might try getting them out by easing the halyard tension slightly. Verticle wrinkles along the luff often indicate too much halyard tension. You probably already thought of that and tried it but I thought I'd throw it out there.
