Hi Tim,
I just checked my sticker on my 2001 Yamaha 4hp 4 stroke. It says that you can
damage the engine from leaking oil if the engine is not transported in an
upright position or in a horizontal position with the handle on the bottom.
This could be one reason it was leaking oil. just a thought.
>Thanks Al...I noticed a similar sticker on mine. It has been both
upright and on the handle side when off the boat. I can't imagine why
oil would leak from a four stroke.....except through the intake.
