If you haven't done any fiberglass repair work before, and need help, get
the Gougeon Brother's book;
"Product Guide and Technical Manual".
They are the originators of the WEST System (Wood Epoxy Saturation
Technology), and sell epoxy products.
WEST Marine carries their products and probably also has the book.
The book tells you in great detail how to do all the necessary
maintenance work of fiberglass - filling craze cracks, repairing dings
and scratches; and how to cut, fix, and modify anything made of
fiberglass.
It's the "bible" to get you started.
Their other book, "Fiberglass Boat Repair and Maintenance" ($3.00 in my
'99 WEST Marine catalog)
covers things like mounting hardware, so take a look at this one too.
This should make you an "expert" who can tackle any problem or
modification you might want to consider making on your Montgomery.

Winterizing:
I kept my M15 outdoors all winter long. I had a tarp that was about 18
feet long over the mast, and then tied down to the trailer frame.
Here in Connecticut we get some pretty hefty snowfalls, and I never had a
problem .....
Of course, at the end of the sailing season, I totally emptied out the
boat, and stored everything in my cellar.
Honda winterizing:
About the only thing you have to do is either:
1. Totally empty the fuel tank; carburetor bowl so that the fuel system
is dry, or,
2. Add Stabil (a long time gasoline stabilizer, available at NAPA or
marine stores) to the gasoline in the tank. This keeps the gasoline from
gumming up jets and lines.
3. If you used the engine in salt water, then a run in a test tank
filled with fresh water, should clean out the salt water. Since my
engine was also stored in the cellar - not subjected to freezing
temperatures - that's all I did.
4. Remove the spark plug and put in some preservative oil to mist the
cylinder walls and valves. Replace the spark plug finger tight till
spring.
Also store the engine on the proper side - so that the crankcase oil
doesn't escape.
