Jim, Maybe you have posted this and I missed it, but is Pelican dry sailed or kept in a berth? If she is berthed is it seasonal or year round? How much time elapsed between when the centerboard got stuck and this repair?

Is the trim ballast inside the hull or in the keel? It seem like I have removed all of the ballast in the keel. I haven't removed any from inside the cabin if ther is any there. If you click on this link you can see what I am doing http://picasaweb.google.com/jascopacific/M15KeelRepair I guess if I knew what the total weight of the boat is suspost to be I could just weigh the carcus (with steel removed) and add enough lead to bring it up to the proper weight. Since I have the option now of changing the ballast weight should I make the ballast more/less/or same as the origional?
