Regarding sailing and wives, for our 25th wedding anniversary I asked my wife what she would like to do. She only half seriously suggested sailing the San Juans. Well, we didn't even have a boat at the time, but I thought it was an excellent idea. A few years later, sailing the San Juans on our anniversary became something of a tradition, and three years in a row it was a magical time with beautiful scenery, great sailing, and quiet sunsets. Of course, it would have been more romantic if she had come along...
