This is not really an appropriate forum for computer stuff, but as the list operator I have special privileges (smile), so let me pass along a couple of tid-bits.

I do all of my web browsing with SandboxIE -- a free program that will run any browser in a "sandbox" that prevents drive-by downloads of mal-ware and most other problems. Their web site explains all, www.sandboxie.com, and it's really easy to use.

I also use Firefox as my browser ,with the NoScript extension.

With the above and a NAT router, it's just about impossible to pick up any malicious software while browsing.

Hi All,
Make sure your spyware is up to date:
The Sailing Texas site immediately tries to put the Fastclick cookie on your
computer.
Not a malicious spyware, but it does track your online "preferences" and
will
slow your computer down.
It tried to launch on me with an add for some sweep program, masking it's
true intent.
I use Webroot Spy Sweeper and it caught it right away.
Just thought I'd pass the info along.
Bill

P.s. the M17 looks presentable - but needs to be restored it states

There's an M17 for sale, at what seems to be a great price in Washington
