John,

Thanks for the link to Crazy Creek and to everyone who has replied. I like
the idea of using it with an inflatable pad. I used to own one that I think I
let go when I sold my CD Tyhoon Sr. a number of years ago. I remember that it
was a comfortable little chair that is easy to stow or take with you. I had
forgotten about it. The West Marine chair is much larger and takes up more
space, but it can also be used as a cockpit chair or flat cushion. I've owned
both and I'll probably go with the Crazy Creek chair and inflatable pads.

Thanks again to all who have responded. I appreciate everyone's feedback.
  Enjoy your day.
Mark

Another two cents worth from the Ozarks: Mark's post on 1 December
gave directions to the West Marine, and it does look good, but I much
prefer my "Crazy Creek Original Chair" found at www.crazycreek.com/
interior.cfm?page=detail&item=1 I bought one many years ago for
canoe camping, my back couldn't take sitting around the campfire at
night without support. At five bucks cheaper, I feel it is not only a
better buy, but much better construction. Check the specs on both. I
use mine in the cockpit for sailing, and in the cabin for reading
before nodding off at night when anchored out.

Do it now! You can't do it any younger…
