1. Thanks for the inputs on plastic bags. I will NOT
resume my practice of decades ago; bags ashore and to the dump.
2. My weak and aching back likes ease and versatility. I
can secure my topping lift at BOTH the base of the mast and the end
of the boom via a bit longer line and jam cleats. I also lead my lazy
jacks (port side only) from the topping lift to the boom; sewed to
the topping lift, bronze hooks to eye straps on the boom, hooked to
the end of the boom when I install the cockpit cover.
