In regard to the Flicka cutter rig.   It came stock as a sloop, a sloop 
rigged as a cutter, and a gaff rigged cutter.   I have the sloop version.   I 
would 
not recommend a cutter for a small boat.   Each time you tack, you have two 
sets of jib sheets as well as having the jib go around the inner stay each 
time.   (or around the free flying staysail).
     
If you want more bells and whistles, there is always a spinnaker, and you 
could build yourself a small dodger, install a stern pulpit, stanchions and 
life 
lines.
