Yes, it is too bad they don't seem to build a 2-cylinder 4 hp 4 stroke engine; but it would be pretty expensive. Sean&Jo Mulligan's M23 has a 9hp Yamaha 2-cylinder 4-stroke that is smoooth and quiet.

I have been using a Yamaha 4 hp 4 stroke. John Vigor has a formula which calls for 4hp per ton of displacement. I find that to be close. The 4hp on the M17 seems to be about perfect with the exception of the common vibration of a single cylinder and a lack of a charging coil.
A 4 stroke is also the "green" engine to have.
