I delivered a 17 to a guy who lived on an island on the lake- talk about heaven. I rigged the boat at a marina on the S end of the lake, then sailed it to the island. Mostly light air, but a beautiful place to sail. There's an active racing group there and a sailmaker in a little town about the center of the lake on the W side.
Of course, this is about 25 year-old info, in fact it was right after the Mt.St. Helens explosion. We had to dust the ash off his front porch to sit down and drink some Jim Beam! A good memory.
