If my sails look that bad and are that old - I would get new ones.
Dry cleaner is fine - new sails are better - 're-resin-ing' an existing sail
is 'weak' at best (see - washing paper plates department)- the sail was
built of stabilized cloth with the shape built into the sail, 20 +-years later

'lets hang it up and spray some glue on it - blow some fans on it to cure -
and charge em what we can get - yeah' One born every minute - send me your
money, I will do something creative with it!

Store your sails rolled (parallel to the foot) indoors (not on the boat)
Better yet- Buy new ones and see how much you will do to make them last. As
in taking good care of them.
Do Not : bungee them to your boom
store them on the boom -uncovered (in the sun)
store them anywhere YOU would be uncomfortable living.
allow them to flog/luff/ whatever your favorite term is.
store them wet OR dirty.
expect them to last forever - How old are the tires on your car?
expect 'motorcycle cover sail' to perform worth a darn. Your
boat's performance will deteriorate.
spend good money cleaning old/ bad/ worn sails - unless your
son-in-law owns a "Sail Cleaning
Business"
get sunscreen on them - unless that is all she is wearing.
listen to some ranting maniac - end of my opinion and worth
every penny.
