Seems like this would be the way to always trim the main. Isn't it always better "...to lower the center of effort considerably, but leave the full drive of the mainsail intact." I would think that the ultimate would be to have the "center of effort" at the same location as the center of resistance" eg: closer to center of gravity Thanks for the tip.
