Thanks for the reply. What kind of block system did you use on the transom? Where did you purchase the bimini and what size bimini did you install? Do you happen to have any pictures?

I agree with Gary that if you want to move it just for the installation of a bimini, then leave it where it is and just move the bimini aft a bit.
