Really enjoyed the videos.  I was studying your reefing and lines, besides
just enjoying the sail, to compare to the spartan and worn-out systems we
have.  (we have to sometimes "hand close" the cam cleats, for instance.)

>Thanks Danielle.
I need one new cam cleat myself.....pricey little units.
The jammers on the reefing system are fine if you use the correct diam line
....but I use those because they fit ....more or less.

Your new tender looks identical to our Walker Bay dinghy:

Does yours have the faux lapstrake sides and a wheel on the keel?

>Not a WB I am sure. Yes with the lapstrakes, no wheel. Sure would like one
though.....or two. (wheels that is)
Just made some new oars for Jr. Looking forward to testing them. Work is
such a nuisance and is always getting in the way of important stuff.

Ours doesn't say "Walker Bay" on the sides, like the one on their site, and
we have the one with inflatable sides.  My inlaws have one without.

>I have only seen one WB up close....but are they not plastic rather than
glass?
Ours rows well enough as well. I would love double the water line though. I
miss my old rowboat. Killed it when an early snow slid off the shop roof
onto the boat which was upside down on two sawhorses......under the eves. I
built that thing very light....maybe a bit too light. I took it to the land
fill in two separate pieces.

I have been playing around with some vids and sent three to youtube.
This one is from a coupla weekends ago. I would describe this day as a
10/10.
You know, one of those days you might only get one or two per season? It was
hot and sunny..and windy.
This one showed up early on. I hope for many more yet this year.

the 2nd one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EX4PO4uMsjY
at this point we are two reefs in and stock jib..the gps read 5.7kn while I
panned the camera over it.to windward.
Basically bumbling along at 5k with the smallest balanced set I currently
have. (soon to be changed)

The other one that is uploaded and working shows our new (to us) tender
bought last Friday and used
on Saturday after 4hours of cleaning. I went to look at the thing with no
description other than it was white and
in excellent shape. That is my son Zach goofing around in the little one
while it is being towed.
