Uh....well as we drove through Parker, Az (30 miles south of Lake Havasu) on the way home from the trip, Gary Hyde saw an electronic sign that reported the outside temperature (to us inside the air conditioned cab of the pickup).....It read......121.8 degrees! Needless to say, Gary gladly got on the Alaska Airlines plane yesterday and is back in cool Pullman, Washington. I don't think we'll be seeing him back here in Havasu in June! :-) Weird wind phenomena at Two Harbors....the Isthmus forms a venturi....multiple times we headed out to sail in the nice 10-15 knot breeze only to find that about a quarter mile away offshore it was dead calm. Pull down the sails and return to the mooring at the Isthmus and it'd be blowing 10-15....oh well, kept the mooring very comfortable. Would have been good dinghy sailing around the harbor.
