Jim,

We did sail for a short while on the way home. However the light breeze we
had was almost right on the nose. We were only able to make about 2.5 - 3
knots
and that was about 30 degrees off the course we needed. Being that we had 26
miles to cover we decided not to turn the 5 to 6 hour trip into a 9 to 10
hour trip! We also dropped the mooring a couple of times at the island to
go
out and do some sailing. There would be a 10-12 knot breeze right across the

island and the mooring field. Unfortunately, as soon as we'd get away from
the
area right around the isthmus the wind that was always there would stop
totally. Apparently there is a venturi like effect across the island.
You'll see
in some of the video there's a pretty good breeze. The guys that have made
the trip before have never been skunked totally on wind like that.
hmmmmmm.......global warming???? hahaha
