My Montgomery boats t-shirt arrived just in time for our 25th annual sailing
regatta this weekend. Thanks Sean! They came out great. My boat is on its
mooring and survived an extreme wind storm last night that all but took out the
local marina at Kettle Falls. Last weekend, Chris and I spent our first
weekend aboard and had a GREAT time. Good winds, quiet anchorages, and Chris
loves the headroom and storage space that the boat provides.

I've thoroughly enjoyed sailing the boat. It seems to have good upwind
performance which will be tested against many other boats this weekend in our
triangle course races. However, I have a rudder problem that I didn't get the
chance to fix yet. The solid wood (I believe mahogany) rudder has warped a bit
over the years. As a result, its shape is a bit like an airplane wing... very
concave on one side and fairly flat on the other. This creates more pull to
one side than I expected and will need to eventually be planed, epoxied,
faired, and fiberglassed. Hopefully it won't slow the boat down to much this
weekend.

I've taken many pictures and will soon be sending them in to Bill for the boats
and owners photo site.

Thanks for all the input and help provided through this forum.
