I bought a small one gallon gas can at Wal-Mart that is perfect for gassing
outboards.
The nozzle is spring loaded and the gas only flows when the spring is
depressed. I can turn the can upside down and nothing comes out. When I
refuel the engine, I push down on the spring-loaded spout, and it only fills
until it is full and will not overfull, it will just stop.
It is so easy to use. I don't let my engine run out. I shut it down and gas
it and then restart it. If I let it run out I have to pull it more times.

I found it also at Ace hardware stores for the nozzle only. $4.99 and add it
too your own can.

I love my one gallon can! It weighs under ten pounds full, easy to lean over
the side, and I hide it in the locker, it's that small. If I need more than
one gallon for the day I take a larger can to refuel the little one.
